PARK TWP., MI (WHTC) – The search is on for a 27-year-old man from Holland’s North Side wanted in connection with a shooting during the pre-dawn hours on Thursday that critically injured a 23-year-old man.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Detective Captain Mark Bennett, deputies were called to a residence on Lillian Street, off of 144th Avenue south of Riley Street, just after 5 AM on a report of a man with a “substantial” head injury. “A further inspection of the victim’s injuries indicate that it could be from a gunshot wound to the head,” Bennett explained. “Investigators located an outside scene approximately four houses to the east of the victim’s residence; that scene appears to be where the crime occurred.”
An arrest warrant was issued by the Ottawa County Prosecutor’s Office on Friday evening for 27-year-old Isaac Flores. Bennett added, “Flores had been staying (at a residence) on Lillian Street, however at this time his whereabouts are unknown. After analysis of evidence and several interviews detectives had secured an arrest warrant (on the) charge (of) Assault with Intent to do Great Bodily Harm and Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.”
The unnamed victim remains hospitalized in critical condition, according to Bennett. Anyone who has any information on the whereabouts of Flores or of this incident is asked to contact the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Silent Observer.
