HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Although looking forward was the theme at Wednesday’s Holland City Council meeting, the Master Plan has been put on hold.
City Manager Ryan Cotton recommended adoption of a Master Plan, the official policy guide for the Tulip City’s future growth and development that provides the framework and basis for sound community development and land use decision-making.
Affordable housing in Holland is part of the Master Plan and council is looking to change proposed zoning before they adopt the plan. The plan has more than a thousand people involved through comments and suggestions during the course of 40-plus public meetings and individual submissions.
City council will meet again on February 8, for a study session.
