HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Low pressure steam blows from the heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) at Holland Energy Park are expected to begin today, January 31..
Holland Board of Public Works officials say steam blows are performed to remove any remaining impurities before operation. Although the steam will be visible, the noise will be minimal.
These steam blows are expected to occur on and off throughout the next several weeks.
High pressure steam blows will occur at a later date and the public will be informed at that time. BPW officials hope to have the 240 million-dollar, 145-megawatt, natural gas-fueled facility online by the middle of February.
