GEORGETOWN TWP, MI (WHTC) – A strong arm robbery took place Thursday evening, January 27, at the Family Video store in Georgetown Township.
Sgt. J. Douglas of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says that around 10:09 p.m deputies were dispatched to the Family Video store on the corner of Cottonwood and Bauer Road. Investigation at the scene determined that a unknown caucasian male believed to be in his late teens or early 20’s entered the store and demanded cash from the clerk.
The clerk provided the suspect with a non-disclosed of money and the suspect also stole numerous video games before fleeing the store on foot.
No weapon was implied or displayed during the robbery and a K-9 unit brought in from the Holland Department of Public Safety in an attempt to locate the suspect. The area around the store was searched for over an hour, but the suspect was not located.
