HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The 2017 Winters Market is due to return today.
For three years running, the outdoor market has been a fixture of Eighth Street Marketplace, bringing fresh root vegetables, breads, shrimp, honey and other cold weather staples to the people of Holland.
The Winter Market is similar to the Holland Farmers Market held in the same place every summer, but with shorter hours, fewer vendors, and less people browsing the vendor stalls. Also, whereas the summer market takes a variety of payment methods like credit cards and Bridge Cards, the vendors at the winter market will only take cash.
Despite the differences, the farmers market is still a good way to shop local. The 2017 Winters Market begins today from 9a.m. until noon and runs every first and third Saturday of the month until May.
