HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Detroit Tiger fans came out in droves Friday morning to see players Alex Avila and Nick Castellanos at Meijer in Holland.
The Detroit Tigers Caravan is on the move stopping at locations in Michigan gearing fans up for the season.
People of all ages stopped by Mejer on 16th Street in Holland for a glimpse of the two players and for a photo opportunity. One fan whose been a fan since 1972, had that number on his Tiger jersey. Several youngsters missing school were there for a handshake and photo.
WHTC’s Mary Ellen Murphy and 92.7 The Van’s Brent Alan registered fans for Tiger tickets.
The Detroit Tigers will open their season on April 3rd in Chicago for a three game series with the White Sox. They’ll then return home for a seven-game homestand to face off against the Red Sox and the Twins.
