HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan rolls into Holland on Friday, January 20.
Tiger’s catcher Alex Avila and third baseman Nick Castellanos will be at the Meijer store on 16th Street from 9:50-10:20 a.m. The Detroit Tigers Winter Caravan has the team, coaches and broadcasters making stops throughout the state of Michigan. Photos will be allowed, but no autographs

The Detroit Tigers will open their season on April 3rd in Chicago for a three game series with the White Sox. They’ll then return home for a seven-game homestand to face off against the Red Sox and the Twins.

Former Detroit Tigers catcher Ivan Rodriguez is headed to the 2017 Baseball Hall of Fame. The signing of Rodriguez as a free agent sparked the beginning of a turnaround for Detroit which resulted in World Series appearances in 2006 and 2012.
