LAWTON, MI (WHTC) – What should Michigan expect from the seventh State of the State Address on Tuesday by Rick Snyder?
According to State Senator Tonya Schuitmaker, the tone of the Governor’s remarks should be the same as it has been in his previous six speeches before a joint session of the legislature. “He will deliver a very compelling, aggressive agenda of reforms,” the Lawton Republican said in a Monday appearance on “WHTC Talk of the Town.” “He’s an accountant by nature, so he wants to leave Michigan in a better fiscal health than when he came in.”
Topics brought up by Mr. Snyder in previous State of the State remarks such as dealing with overhauling Michigan’s transportation infrastructure and with the state’s energy policy were eventually pushed through the Legislature.
