1/15 Sunday: Snow Fun at Hemlock Crossing- Winter’s best gift to kids is SNOW! Join us to engage in a variety of different types of “snow play” and warm up afterward with a hot drink. 1/16 Monday: Soup Swap Meatless Monday potluck at Nuestra Casa (The Gathering Place)- Bring a crockpot of vegetarian or vegan soup for sampling and to take home in tupperware containers. Breads or salads can be brought as well. All community members welcome no matter what diet you follow. 1/17 Tuesday: Mangalitsa Hog Feast at Butch’s Dry Dock- Join Butch’s Dry Dock as Chef Clark and the Butch’s culinary team prepare a 4 course dinner highlighting everything a Mangalitsa Pig has to offer. 1/18 Wednesday: National Girls & Women In Sports Day Free Event at Hope College Dow Center- Hope College is hosting its annual National Girls and Women In Sports Day event for middle-school girls. Participants will get an hour of sports play and activities with Flying Dutch athletes and coaches, snacks, a T-shirt and two tickets to the January 28 Hope-Alma women’s basketball game. 1/19 Thursday: Live Music at CitySen Lounge- Dave & Connie D are excited to be heading back to beautiful downtown Holland to jam at CitySēn Lounge, located in City Flats Hotel. The lounge offers yummy food and a fun relaxed atmosphere. Dave and Connie DeHaan are a husband/wife team sharing their gifts of music. 1/20 Friday: Hope College Great Performance Series: Reduced Shakespeare Co. at the Knickerbocker Theatre- The Reduced Shakespeare Company is a three-man comedy troupe that takes long, serious subjects and reduces them to short, sharp comedies. The “Bad Boys of Abridgment” will perform their new hilarious work: William Shakespeare’s Long-Lost First Play (abridged). A comic misadventure that will feel strangely familiar since in it weaves all of The Bard’s famous characters, greatest lines, and magnificent speeches into a brand new Shakespearean smorgasbord. 86 East 8th Street Holland, MI; 7:30pm; $15-$20.
