HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Latin Americans United For Progress (LAUP) of Holland is looking forward to a new year and some changes too.
LAUP Fiesta which runs May 6th and 7th is moving to the Shops of Westshore says Executive Director Roberto Jara. Jara told WHTC’s Talk of the Town Program that with all of the construction around the Civic Center, they need more space and to do it right have decided to move it to The Shops at Westshore on US-31.
” We’ve got all kinds of things in the works and plans right now with a car show, beer tent and much more, so the Festival will be spread all across the area.”
The Hispanic Youth Leadership Conference is Tuesday, February 14 at DeVos Fieldhouse on the campus of Hope College. The conference is designed to help Hispanic students identify the gifts they possess and gain inspiration from Hispanic leaders. Students can choose from 13 educational workshops and explore college and career paths that suit their interests.
The conference is free and students can contact their school’s guidance counselor or principal to sign up or email LAUP.
