HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The personal-finance website WalletHub took an in-depth look at 2017’s Best Places to Raise a Family in Michigan.
In order to help families find the best cities in Michigan to put down roots, WalletHub’s analysts compared 104 cities in the state across 21 key metrics. They range from “median family income” to “school-system quality” to “housing affordability.
Analyst Jill Gonzales tells WHTC news that Michigan leads nation in two parent families.
“Holland is a great place to raise your family in Michigan. We looked at a lot of cities here. just over 100 in all. Holland fared very well. Overall it ranks #17 , but it ranked 3rd best when it came to that family life and ranking.
Holland comes in 6th for theHigh School graduation rate and 9th for unemployment rate.
The number one place? Rochester. Grand Haven at #51. Kalamazoo at #82.
