GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – The Lakeshore is in its third full day of a Winter Weather Advisory that has gone “pretty much as expected.”
Forecasters with the National Weather Service Office in Grand Rapids say that light snow showers will continue this afternoon, with an additional inch expected before the caution that began at 4 AM on Wednesday expires at 4 PM this afternoon. Temperatures are to remain in the teens, with wind chills hovering around zero. Roads remain snow packed and slippery, with the combination of cold and wind hampering efforts by crews to clear highways.
While the advisory ends today, forecasters say that light snowfall will continue through Sunday evening, but another round of flakes comes on Monday with slowly warming temperatures.
