HAMILTON, MI (WHTC) – A new service center for Consumers Energy customers along the Lakeshore is now open.
A variety of civic and corporate leaders converged at the utility’s Hamilton Service Center yesterday for a ceremonial ribbon-cutting ceremony. The 7.5 million-dollar, 22,300 square-foot facility off of M-40 replaces older buildings in Zeeland and Allegan, and its 50 employees will provide a variety of services available to more than 56 thousand business and residential customers of Consumers Energy across Allegan County, southern Ottawa County and northern Van Buren County.
Utility officials add that the new building meets environmental standards set by the US Green Building Council.
