GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – As West Michigan recovers from the recent snow storm, another one is headed out way.
The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Ottawa and Allegan Counties from 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, till 12 p.m.. Thursday, December 15.
With this storm, 3-5 inches of lake effect snow is possible with 35 mph winds. This will create blowing and drifting snow and whiteout condition are possible. Wind chills will be below zero making conditions even more treacherous as the cold air will reduce the ability of salt to melt the snow.
Another snow storm could hit Friday evening December 16 through Saturday with 6-10 inches of snow.
WHTC will have any closings or delays as a result of the advisory on air and online.
