HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The timing couldn’t be better. Tons of snow, a snow day and the opening of Pigeon Creek Lodge in West Olive.
The Ottawa County facility offers ski and snowshoe rentals, refreshments and even a fireplace. Pigeon Creek County Park offers over ten miles of cross-country ski and snowshoe trails as well as a lit sledding hill. There are no entry fees or trail fees and ski and snowshoe rental runs between $5-$8 for two hours.
Today, December 12, the park opens at 12 p.m. but is normally open from 7a.m. to 10 p.m. during satisfactory snow conditions. A ski clinic will be offered in January.
Pogeon Creek Park is located at 12524 Stanton Street in West Olive. Snowboarding is not allowed on the sledding hill or anywhere at the park.
