TALLMADGE TWP, MI (WHTC) – Hazardous weather conditions on Sunday, December 11, caused a vehicle to slide off the road and hit a tree in Ottawa County.
Ottawa County Deputies were dispatched to Luce Street just went of 8th Avenue in Tallmadge Township around 12:30 p.m. when 20-year-old Gabriel Williams of Lamont lost control of his 2000 Mercury Mystique. Williams’ vehicle slid on the icy road, traveled off into a ditch and struck a tree.
Williams passenger Alisha Logwood 19. of Grand Rapids suffered a head injury and was transported by Life EMS to Spectrum Hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time.
Sgt. Bob Ruster says Williams was not injured in the crash which remains under investigation.
