PARK TWP., MI (WHTC) – There will be a new operational leader in Park Township in five weeks.
During last night’s monthly meeting, the Board unanimously approved contract terms with Howard Fink to become the municipality’s new Township Manager. He comes west from the Ann Arbor area, where he had been the manager of Northfield Township for nearly four years.
The Park Township vacancy was created when Jerry Felix resigned in June, with Bill Cousins handling the managerial duties on an interim basis. The board had to go through 45 applications to narrow the field to four finalists who were publicly interviewed last month. According to Cousins, a board committee traveled to Northfield Township for a background perspective of Fink and “came away impressed.”
Fink will begin his new duties on January 16th
