ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – The wrong type of precipitation has robbed the magic out of Downtown Zeeland’s Magical Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting scheduled for tonight.
Over 60 floats, marching bands and Santa were told by Zeeland Festivals officials this afternoon that, “Unfortunately, the forecast is calling for 100% chance of rain from 3pm until tomorrow night and it looks like heavy showers. As a board we have decided to cancel the parade and do not plan on rescheduling. We are very sorry for the inconvenience and hope that everyone stays warm and dry!”
The Holiday Train Show will start this evening from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Howard Miller Community Center as scheduled through the week and it’s free.
