HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Holland High theatre department is taking on a tough task next month.
Beginning on December 1st, the school will put on the production of “Mary Poppins,” based on the 1964 Walt Disney movie. Anna Ryzenga plays the title character, with Isaiah Lee starring as the chimney sweep Bert.
Those two, along with Logan Hofland, talked about the challenges of putting on a musicial that has created such iconic images during a Wednesday appearance on “WHTC Morning News.” Anna and Isaiah also sang a verse from the song “Chim Chim Cher-ee.”
Show times are December 1-3 and 8-10 at 7 PM, Dec. 3-4 & 10-11 at 2 PM; and a special “Mary Poppins Party” for four- and five-year-olds in the Holland High Commons on Dec. 10 from 10 AM to 12 noon. Tickets are available online from the Holland Theatre Guild or Holland Public Schools.
