HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The City of Holland’s leaf program was a first for the community and will end on Saturday, November 19.
The program that started in October allowed residents to rake their leaves into street gutters and onto shoulders of roads for pick up by City crews.
The City reminds residents that no branches, grass clippings, or any other lawn refuse in the leaf piles, the Holland Street Department will not pick them up. The City also urges residents to be sure that their leaf piles are clear of any utility poles, mail boxes and other obstructions as the equipment used during the leaf-gathering process requires a certain amount of room to work.
After Saturday, residents are reminded that the next curbside pickup of branches will not occur until the Spring Yard Clean-Up Program beginning in March of 2017.
