HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – While violence flared up in various places nationwide over the past week in protests over the election of Donald Trump as President, a much more peaceful march was held in Holland over the weekend.
Over 150 strolled around Centennial Park for about three hours on Saturday afternoon emphasizing a message of rising above the hate. A 17-year-old West Ottawa High student, Jesse Lynn, was among the organizers of the event, and he told the Holland Sentinel that all he wanted to do was to bring the community together, and that he tried to make sure everyone was welcome, although most of the participants were apparently anti-Trump.
There were no reports by Holland Public Safety of any disturbances stemming from this event.
