GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – There have been protests in major cities of the presidential election, and Grand Rapids is having one tonight.
The protest is being organized by a Grand Valley State University student. The #NotMyPresident protest is at Rosa Parks Circle in downtown Grand Rapids today at 5 p.m.November 10. On social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, several hundred have indicated they will attend.
President-elect Donald Trump appears to have won Michigan in the closest presidential vote in state history. Unofficial results released by the Secretary of State’s office show Trump with a 13-thousand-225-vote edge over Democrat Hillary Clinton. She won in urban areas like Detroit, Flint, Lansing and Detroit, while he carried rural parts of Michigan.
