GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – Trump supporters were greeted by a surprise guest as they patiently waited for a late Donald Trump to speak at DeVos Place in Downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan.
With a microphone and a guitar, rocker and Michigan native Ted Nugent called on Michigan to change from blue to red, honored the military and sang his signature song “Fred Bear”.
“I believe in the American dream. I believe Donald Trump means what he says and says what he means. If he ruffles feathers good because there needs to be some ruffled feathers in this country.”
Nugent called on fellow Republicans to continue the fight and do whatever it takes to provide for your family.
“If you don’t earn your own way, you are a slave to some scam artist who will take from the earners and redistribute it to people who don’t deserve it and didn’t earn it. I give you Hillary Clinton.”
Nugent spoke for over 30 minutes and it wasn’t until after 12:30 a.m. that Trump took to the stage.
