GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – The National Weather Service has issued a Small Craft Advisory for Lakeshore communities from South Haven to Grand Haven.
The advisory is in effect on Lake Michigan from 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, till 7 a.m. Wednesday, November, 9. Winds will become North and increase to 20 to 30 knots today. Waves could build 5-7 feet by sunset and 6-9 feet by this evening.
A Small Craft Advisory means that winds or waves are expected to produce hazardous conditions to small craft. Inexperienced mariners especially those operating smaller vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.
