POLKTON TWP, MI (WHTC) – A farming accident at Beaver Creek Farms in Polkton Township has sent an Illinois man to the hospital.
Sgt. Jay Douglas of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were dispatched to the farm located 18080 80th Avenue around 7:06 a.m. Friday, November 4.
Crisoforo Romero-Zarate, 36 of Portland Illinois was operating a front-end loader loading feed for cattle when he did not see Fernando-Morales-Mora, 31 of Dixon, Illinois walk in front of it.
Morales-Mora was run over and treated at the scene by Ottawa County Sheriffs, Coopersville Fire Rescue, Life EMS and then transported with serious injuries to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He is listed in stable condition.
Alcohol is not a factor in the accident which remains under investigation.
