HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The City of Holland has announced hours for Trick-or-Treating on Monday, October 31.
The little ghosts and goblins will be parading about town from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday October 29 and Downtown Holland Merchants will host a Trick-or-Treating event from 10-12 p.m.
City reminds you to be safe:
- Wear a light colored costume with a mask that will not obscure your vision.
- Carry a flashlight with you.
- Parents should accompany their children.
- Drivers of vehicles should take extra caution and be aware of children trick-or-treating.
- Only go to the houses that have the porch light on.
- You should only go to the houses that you are familiar with.
- Make sure that parents check all candy given to children before they eat it.
For the first time ever, action superheros are more popular Halloween costumes than princesses. Tthe National Retail Federation says three-million children are expected to dress up as their favorite action or super hero, and two-point-nine million will be princesses.
