HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Trying to dispel the image of the cynical and pragmatic politician is a goal of Holland’s Mayor.
That’s one of the reasons why Nancy DeBoer will be visiting Vanderbilt Charter Academy students on Friday morning. She told host Ed Ver Schure in her monthly appearance on “WHTC Talk of the Town” on Thursday that, “Having been a teacher myself, I just really care about their vision for the future. In today’s world, it’s a little disillusioning on the huge scale, and it’s good for children to realize that government comes all the way down to their level.”
Mayor DeBoer will speak at Vanderbilt’s “Moral Focus” assembly, which focuses on this month’s virtue being taught to the K-8 students at the West 12th Street academy.
