HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A 16-year-old Holland teen was struck while riding his bicycle Thursday evening, October 13, in Holland Township during the evening commute.
According to Sgt. Matt Wilfong of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Linda Wilson, 50, of Holland was driving a 2004 Chevy Tahoe and was stopped at the stop sign at Shady Brook Drive at Butternut Drive. Wilson started to enter Butternut Drive and struck Shattuck who was on his bicycle in the crosswalk.
Shattuck was transported to Zeeland Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is listed in good condition. Wilson was not injured in the crash and was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign.
Responding agencies were the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, Holland Park Township E-Unit and Life EMS.
