HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Monday, October 10th, marks the date of the 9th Street traffic conversion in downtown Holland.
City Manager Ryan Cotten says this is the day where the final striping and signage will take place. “What that means is something people have not experienced in a long time. The traffic flow will become two way west of Pine. That’s intended to enable a number of things like parking on the north side of 9th Street from Maple down to Columbia. There will be more parking for downtown for the Civic Center, Farmer’s Market and those kinds of things.”
Finishing touches on the resurfacing on 9th Street is ongoing through Friday, October 7, weather permitting. There will be additional signage to help motorists with the conversion on Monday.
