ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – Zeeland Farm Services Inc. is Michigan’s first soybean processing plant with more than 65 years serving Michigan’s agricultural industry and they are expanding.
The company has just celebrated their 20th anniversary and their affiliate ZFS Ithaca, LLC has just announced plans for a second facility. It will be built on a 435-acre site and will initially include grain receiving and storage, processing and feed ingredients transloading.
The project is expected to create 75 full-time jobs and will help bring roadway and utility upgrades to aid in future development in Gratiot County.
Construction will start in late 2016 and operations are expected to begin in late 2018 or 2019.
