HOLLAND TWP, MI (WHTC) – A crash during the morning commute sent two people to the hospital.
Ottawa County Sheriff Sgt. Brent Converse says the crash occurred around 7:10 a.m. at the intersection of Lakewood Blvd and Douglas in Holland Township.
Rick Verhey, 37, of Zeeland was westbound on Lakewood BLVD making the curve where it intersects into WB Douglas Avenue, when he failed to stop for a red traffic signal.
Verhey then struck Rose Marie Wiersma, 65, of Holland. Both drivers were transported to Holland Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
