HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Matt Stilwell has received the highest honor the Holland Department of Public Safety can bestow on a supporting officer.
During Tuesday night’s annual reserve banquet, he was named Reserve Officer of the Year. According to Public Safety Chief Matt Messer, Stilwell was nominated by his fellow reserves “for his professionalism, great attitude, teamwork and humbleness. He is always willing to help out and has earned the respect of other reserves and supervisors. Matt attends the vast majority of the training sessions and regularly comes in to help out for an immediate assignment when needed.”
The Reserve Officer of the Year in the past has represented the Unit at a variety fo functions over the next 12 months, including the Volksparade and Tulip Time Luncheon during next May’s Tulip Time Festival.
