HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – It’s the 25th Anniversary of the Community Kitchen in Holland.
When Holland’s Community Action House was in it’s third decade, the vision for a kitchen to serve others came into existence. The organization estimates that in 25 years the Community Kitchen has served over 750,000 meals with volunteers working over 130,000 hours.
Meals are served 7 days a week and provided through community donations, support and local businesses.
Community Action House thanks their volunteers, churches, supporters and Western Theological Seminary with a celebration at Windmill Island tonight, Thursday, September 29.
Community Kitchen at Western Theological Seminary is located at 101 E 13th Street in Holland. Hours are Monday-Friday 11:30-1 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 9-10:30 a.m.
There are many ways to volunteer and donations are accepted online too.
