HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – At the Lakeshore Parade of Senior Homes there will be 18 different senior resident/lifestyle options that you can check out in Holland and Zeeland.
The event is being brought to the community by the Senior Marketing Group for the Lakeshore Area. Cathy Blackburn is the Chair of Senior Marketing Group and says it’s a day to explore whether you’re looking at options now or in the future.
“When you make that choice and decision it’s important you’re not doing it in a crisis mode. We want people to be educated ahead of time so that they can make the right choice for them and have a plan made out. If we come to a point where the work around the house is too much, there are some great independent living apartments in the area.” Blackburn says.
Some of the Senior Homes on the tour include American House, Appledorn Assisted Living and Freedom Village.
There will be refreshments and tours at each location with door prizes too. The Parade of Senior Homes is free and runs fro,m 10-3 p.m. Saturday.
