MUSKEGON, MI (WHTC) – More than three years after Jessica Heeringa is believed to be killed, authorities are still trying to find her body.
On Monday, September 20, Jeffrey Willis was charged with Heeringa’s murder and his cousin Kevin Bluhm is charged with being an accessory after the fact. Heeringa was abducted from the gas station where she worked late at night in April 2013 and has not been seen since. Willis was arrested earlier this year after he allegedly tried to abduct a teenage girl, and is also charged with killing Rebekah Bletsch in 2014 who was slain while jogging near her Dalton Township home,
Muskegon County Prosecutor DJ Hilson says Bluhm told them Jessica Heeringa, was buried off Sheridan Road in Muskegon Township, but he says the body has been moved. ” We were pretty excited of the fact that we might in fact make that discovery only obviously not to make that discovery. It’s our belief she has been moved and that we’re in the process to find where she’s at.” Hilson said.
Investigators have not been able to find Jessica Heeringa’s body after being told she was buried in a wooded area in Muskegon Township.
