HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – One of Holland’s newer traditions ushers out the Summer Vacation season on Monday and celebrates the Lakeshore’s commercial community.
The 11th annual Labor Day Truck Parade begins at 9:15 AM when 73 vehicles of various sizes will roll out of the Herman Miller Complex in Zeeland. It should take about 15 to 20 minutes for the fleet to cover the nearly seven miles through downtown Zeeland and down westbound Chicago Drive before rolling along 8th Avenue in downtown Holland and stopping at the Holland Civic Center, where they will be parked for display while an ice cream social is held.
Organized in 2006 to honor and celebrate the employees and products of Holland and Zeeland area businesses, the Labor Day Truck Parade is now staged by an independent non-profit entity.
