ALLENDALE, MI (WHTC) – A man was robbed in the Peppino’s parking lot in Allendale Township just after 2 a.m. Wednesday, August 31.
Ottawa County Sheriff Sgt. J. Douglas says the victim whose name is being withheld at this time, had just completed his shift at the restaurant located at 5065 Lake Michigan Drive. As the victim walked out tto his car, he observed two male subjects near his vehicle. He was then confronted by the two male subjects who pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the victim and demanded his money.
The two men who stole an undisclosed amount of cash then fled the scene into the Allendale’s Meadows Mobile Home Park. A K-9 unit was unable to track the suspects. The suspects are described as two Hispanic males between the ages of 20-25. Both had bandanas over their faces. One was wearing a short-sleeved button down flannel type shirt and the other a white or light colored shirt.
Responding agencies include the Ottawa County Road Patrol, K-9 Unit and GVSU Public Safety.
