ALLENDALE, MI (WHTC) – A reported sexual assault near the Grand Valley State University Allendale campus is under investigation, with a suspect being sought.
The school sent an email to students and staff on Saturday about the late Friday night incident in the area of 48th Avenue and Lake Michigan Drive, near a fast food restaurant at that intersection. A man with tan skin, standing about 6-2 with dark hair, wearing basketball shorts and a baseball cap backwards, approached the victim who was walking along the side of the roadway. GVSU campus police did not disclose the nature of the assault, and the victim didn’t report the incident until 3:30 PM on Saturday.
