HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Surveillence video images from an East 24th Street retailed victimized by an armed robbery on Wednesday night have been released by Holland Public Safety in the hopes it can lead to the arrest of a man in his 20’s believed to be involved in the crime.
Just before the Dollar Tree Store was closing around 9 PM, the suspect entered and confronted an employee and demanded money while displaying a handgun. Holland Department of Public Safety says after the suspect obtained money from one of the cash registers, he then directed the employee to the store office where additional money was located and taken. The suspect who fled the store on foot was last seen heading North from the Dollar Tree Store. It is believed he was picked up by a vehicle a short distance away from where the robbery took place.
The suspect is described as a lighter skinned Latino or Black male, 20-30 years old, 5’6 – 5’8, thin build. The suspect was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue sweatpants. The suspect concealed his face with a white rag or bandana.
Investigators cannot confirm that this incident is related to the armed robbery that took place at the Speedway on August 23, but many similarities do exist.
