HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Pure Michigan is teaming up with McDonalds and Coca Cola for the Share a Coke Campaign.
Through September 25, McDonald’s restaurants in Michigan will feature fountain drink cups in the restaurants with a local twist to Share A Coke. The cups feature 20 local unique phrases on the limited-edition fountain drink cups. All Michigan McDonalds restaurants are participating. Dave Lorenz of Pure Michigan says there are only two states in the country participating, Hawaii and Michigan.
Holland is featured in the promotion with “Tulip Town” featured on the cup. On one side of the cup a destination is featured and on the other is the Pure Michigan brand. You can post your memories of your Michigan road trip on twitter at #puremichigan or #MIShareACokeMcd.
“This is the time of the year that we start thinking of our scenic route trips. Kids are going back to school soon and a lot of couples that are without kids and others are looking to enjoy those scenic routes. So one of the more popular places to stop is McDonalds. On the cups there is a Pure Michigan message we will be sending you.” Lorenz says.
Other destinations featured include Mackinac Island, The Motor City, Sleeping Bear and Detroit Red Wings.
Lorenz says they wanted to represent the entire state as much as they could. This is part of the worldwide Share A Coke promotion. Over one million cups have been ordered. Check out the video for the promotion featuring the 20 destinations featured in the promotion.
