WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) – The financial crystal ball is being polished at Ottawa County’s Fillmore Street Administration Building.
During this morning’s meeting, the Finance and Administration Committee of the Ottawa County Board of Commissioners was expected to approve and forward to the full Board a five-year, 67.7 million-dollar Capital Improvement Plan for county government. The biggest items on the draft proposal are: 10 million dollars during 2019 for a new Ottawa County Circuit Court Family Division Facility; 6.4 million dollars over 2018-19 for the four-phase Grand River Greenway project; and 1.5 million dollars in 2017 for voting machine replacement.
According to county officials, the 2017 to 2021 Capital Improvement Plan is a multi-year planning document developed to fund capital projects with a focus on preserving current assets and accounting for future needs.
