HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – A 29-year-old Holland area man wanted in connection with a stabbing last week at a residence on Holland’s North Side is now in custody.
Lucky Ramirez had been at large since the incident last Tuesday afternoon at the Leisure Estates complex off of Butternut Drive. According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s detectives, an argument between he and an unnamed 28-year-old at the entrance to one of the units turned violent, and the victim suffered several stab wounds while Ramirez fled the scene.
The victim was initially listed in critical condition at Spectrum-Butterworth Hospital, but has since improved and is now expected to recover. A warrant for Ramirez’ arrest on felony assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder had been issued.
The suspect was arrested without incident on Tuesday afternoon in the area of Lakewood Boulevard and Beeline Road. Ramirez is held in the Ottawa County Jail pending an arraignment in Holland District Court.
