HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – An effort to help homeowners make energy improvements to their residences could get a boost soon.
During its meeting late this afternoon, the board of the Holland Board of Public Works is being asked to endorse an agreement with the Holland Energy Fund to provide a three million-dollar line of credit for use in funding home energy improvement loans. The fund, a non-profit established by the city of Holland to support implementation of the Tulip City’s long-range Community Energy Plan, wants to develop an On-Bill Loan Program that would allow eligible homeowners to get a loan for making such improvements, paying it back through their monthly electric bill.
If the board gives its OK, the agreement must still be approved by the City Council before it can go into effect.
