HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – Three persons were hospitalized in a two-vehicle crash east of Holland on Monday afternoon.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Brent Converse, 79-year-old Jack Otting of Holland Township was driving his SUV westbound on Adams Street around 3 PM and had wanted to turn left onto 104th Avenue. He apparently didn’t see the eastbound SUV driven by Jacquelyn Blaukamp and pulled into her path, causing a collision that pushed his vehicle onto a bike path that was along Adams Street.
The 67-year-old Blauwkamp of Holland was taken to Metro Health in Byron Center for treatment and was listed in serious but stable condition by nightvball. A passenger in her vehicle, 72-year-old Sharon Overbeek of Zeeland, along with Otting went to Holland Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
