FERRYSBURG, MI (WHTC) – A two-vehicle crash in Ferrysburg has a man listed in good condition awaiting misdemeanor charges.
The driver whose name is being withheld, was driving a 2007 Jeep Cherokee on NB U.S. 31 approaching the West M-104 exit at a high rate of speed Thursday evening at about 7:12 p.m.. The driver then abruptly attempted to exit onto M-104 when he struck a vehicle driven by Keith Albonica, 63 of Spring Lake.
The Jeep then struck a cement barrier and came to rest in the median of U.S.-31 According to Sgt. Eric Westveer of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
Albonica was not injured in the crash and his passenger Linda Albonica, 59, of Spring Lake was treated and released at the scene. The driver who name is being withheld, was transported to North Ottawa Community Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
