HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – As recent incidents have shown, the beauty of Lake Michigan can hide the beast of its waters when certain weather conditions arise.
Sergeant Cal Keuning with the Marine Unit of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, along with Chief Adam Smart of the US Coast Guard’s Holland station, joined Ed Ver Schure on WHTC’s “Talk of the Town” program today to share tips with him and his listeners about staying safe on the water. These tips would go for swimmers and boaters, and both men emphasized that need to be prepared for emergencies and to keep safety foremost in mind.
