HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A Jamestown Township man is in critical condition after being shot in the abdomen Tuesday evening July 19.
According to Captain Mark Bennett of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Rockwood Drive in the Country Hills Village Mobile Home Park at approximately 9:47 p.m. Upon arrival they discovered a 29-year-old Hudsonville man who had been shot at the residence.
The victim and the suspect, a 39-year-old man from Jamestown Township are roommates and became involved in an argument and shot the victim. The suspect was arrested without incident.
The victim was transported to Metro Hospital in critical condition and was in surgery at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, July 20.
The suspect is in custody and is being interviewed by detectives and the scene is being processed simultaneously. The Sheriff’s Department will provide an update later Wednesday.
