HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – At a young age we were taught how to respond to a fire, a tornado too, but an active shooter? How you respond could save your life.
Active shooter events are unpredictable as we have seen in the recent month. They can take place any time anywhere. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says by taking their class you will learn strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event.
The Spring Lake-Ferrysburg Office is offering “Citizen Response to Active Shooter Events” training on July 26. It’s hosted by the Spring Lake Rotary Club and will beheld at the Spring Lake Country Club from 6-9 p.m.
Participants must be 18 years of age or older and a picture ID is required. Register today as space is limited.
