HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A 14-year old girl was approached by a suspicious man Sunday afternoon, July 10, in Park Township.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of the 2400 block of Terrace Avenue on the boardwalk that runs along Terrace Avenue cottages. According to Sgt. Kristie Wendt, the girl was walking on the boardwalk between 2:14 and 2:45 p.m. when she was approached by a white male.
The male asked her if she wanted to buy popcorn and come back to his van to get it. She responded no. The man then grabbed her wrist. She kicked him and pushed him away and then ran home.
The man is described as a white male, 25-50 years old, 5-foot-10 and about 200 pounds. He was wearing reflective glasses, khaki cargo pants, a multi-colored short-sleeved shirt and a tan wide-brimmed hat.
