HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A day filled with free fun and water awaits you at Windmill Island in Holland Saturday, July 9, 2016.
It’s the Macatawa Water Festival and over 30 community partners and sponsors will come together to offer water activities and educational experiences to learn more about restoring and preserving the lake and watershed.
There will be kayaks, canoes, and bikes available on the island as well as trout fishing and games and crafts in the Watershed Explorer tent. Young explorers will receive a watershed passport and they can visit and engage in various activities all while receiving passport stamps. One the passport is complete, they can turn it in for a prize.
The festival which runs from 9-12:30 p.m. is presented by Meijer and they will provide seasonal fresh fruit from local farmers as well as water.
